You Matter no Matter What.

Focus Versse: Mark 10:49

”So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”“ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭49‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/mrk.10.49.NKJV

The above verse refers to a blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus. Blindness had become part of his identity to the extent that he was often referred to as “Blind Bartimaeus”. As hurtful as it may sound, the practice of highlighting people’s weaknesses still exists in our culture today. People did not put much value on Bartimaeus as evidenced by their rebuke when they heard him calling for Jesus’ attention. They told him to be “quiet” but instead “he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Verse 48 KJV.

What did the behavior of those who were with Jesus towards Bartimaeus reveal about their prejudices? Like they had done many times, they expected Jesus to act obviously in respect to this blind beggar who was calling for His help. Regardless of other people’s attitudes or indifferences towards you, never cease your efforts to get better.

To His disciples’ surprise, when Jesus heard Bartimaeus’s desperate cry for help, He stopped the procession and called for him. Men may ignore you and marginalize you but be of good cheer. God will never marginalize anyone who cries out to Him for help. Keep crying out to God the lifter of men. Once you gain God’s attention, inevitably you will have men as your captive audience.

When Jesus called for Bartimaeus, the audience’s mood towards him changed from being rude and unkind to him to addressing him as “Be of good cheer. Rise, he is calling you “

It no longer mattered that none placed value on Bartimaeus, the moment Jesus summoned him, he took center stage. It must have been quite an experience for those who had shut him down a moment ago, as they cleared the way for him now to get to Jesus.

God’s value of you is independent of other people’s opinion of you. Do not let anyone’s inconsiderate behavior regarding you, dampen your enthusiastic call for God’s help. You matter to God no matter what.

Prayer for healing if needed. Put your hand where you have pain as You read aloud to yourself this prayer of faith.

Father, in the name of Jesus that is above cancers, tumors, fibromyalgia, fibroids, glaucoma, cataracts, migraines, insomnia, paralysis, and any other disease group, or any kind of addiction, I command the spirit of infirmity responsible for these afflictions to leave (your name) now and to never return in Jesus’ name. I now command your body to be made whole by the power of the Holy Spirit from the lock of your hair to the tips of your toes in Jesus’ name I have prayed. Amen. Now test your healing.

Prayer if you want to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior:

Dear Father, I come to you in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Today, I confess with my mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead. Today, I accept you Jesus, as my Lord and savior. Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me, all of my sins. Today, I repent, and turn away from them. Thank you Father, for receiving me, in Jesus’ name I have prayed. Amen.
